GLOSSOP OLD BAND are actively searching for an experienced Front Row Cornet player with immediate effect. (The position is negotiable with Principal seat available to right person). Also BBb Bass and 3rd cornet players. We rehearse one night per week, Tuesday, with extra rehearsals whenever necessary. Interested parties should contact MD David W Ashworth at: [email protected] in total confidence. The band will always make any player welcome as cover is always needed for holidays, work etc......

The Quiz Concert

A quiz based on music you hear played by the band!

Unfortunately a couple of publications have advertised a concert that was due to take place this evening (28th June) in the bandroom. This was postponded several months ago and unfortunately the concert will not take place but a joint concert with Glossop and Tintwistle band will be taking place 12th July 2014 at 7.30pm

Notice of AGM

Glossop Old Band will hold an AGM on Tuesday 14th March 2017 at 19:30. The meeting will take place at Glossop Band Club, Derby Street, Glossop, SK13 8LP

Want to keep your lip in?

Glossop Band will be opening the bandroom doors at 8pm for 8.15 start every Tuesday throughout the summer. Anyone wishing to keep their lip in is welcome to come for a blow and rehearsals will be very informal.
