The first draw of the new "Friends of Glossop Old Band" prize draw took place on 26 July 2016. There were 104 numbers in the draw, so a prize fund of £52.00. Beryl kindly drew the numbers for us. Winning numbers were: 1st prize - 104 (£26.00) 2nd prize - 9 (£15.60) 3rd prize - 20 (£10.40)

The “Friends of Glossop Old Band" prize draw – The band’s version of a lottery. A way to donate to the band but allows you the opportunity to win your money back. The more people that take part - the bigger the prize fund!
Rules
Minimum 1 year subscription at £12 per annum, per number for 1 entry per month. (there is no upper purchase limit)
Members under the age of 16 must be c/o an adult.
One "Friends of Glossop Old Band" draw will take place on the last rehearsal of each month, commencing July 2016.
3 numbers will be drawn in each draw for 1st, 2nd & 3rd prize respectively.
The prize fund will be as follows: 1st – 25%, 2nd – 15% and 3rd 10% of sold numbers. The remaining 50% will go into band funds.
Any unsold numbers up to and including 100 will remain the property of the band, and if drawn, the prize will go into band funds in addition to the 50% stated above.
Results will be published on the bands website stating the total number of entries, winning numbers and prizes awarded. Winning members will be notified directly with a cheque for the winning amount.
Your number becomes eligible to take part from the draw following purchase.

On Sunday 13th March, the band re-entered the contesting arena after a 5 year break by competing in the 2nd section of the Midlands regional championships, hosted in Bedworth. After a fab performance, the band were presented with 2nd place out of a total 12 bands and have been invited to compete in the National Finals this September in Cheltenham.
