• GLOSSOP OLD BAND IN "BRASSED OFF" AGAIN! The band will be on stage at the Altrincham Garrick Playhouse from 14th/19th January in a repeat performance of 'Brassed Off' after playing there two years ago. • Solid performance at Whit Friday gains numerous prizes and swells the coffers by over £1000.
• Success in Senior trophy! A good performance follows on from our solid area performance and we at last reap the benefits of the hard work we have put in, with a very satisfying second place! See the blog for our remarks!!
• The 2007 area contest has passed with a disappointing 5th place . If the standard is maintained though. we can hope for good results in a few weeks at blackpool!
• Look at the Band LOG, band members, register and add your own posts, anyone can register and add comments. We may open up some of the logs for general access if there is a demand. It''s a chance for everyone to make their contribution to the site

I have found the CD provided by Steve, our former flugel player. His girlfriend took these photos as we progressed round Tameside. thank you. They are now posted in the gallery Anyone who has any photos they would like to add to the gallery, email them to me, or, if too many, give me a cd and I will upload them.

We have now completed the recording of a CD, which took place on the weekend 16th /17th June. We are all looking forward to its release. As soon as it is available I will make hopefully beable to make it available on the site for purchase.

Glossop Band rehearse on Tuesday and Thursday evenings 8.00-10.00pm and players and visitors are always welcome whether you want to join in with us or just listen to a rehearsal enjoying a pint or two.
